After many delays in our internet acquisition, we're now online and so should be in better touch. Now we'll get a landline (our cell phones don't receive service in our house!!) and then we'll have attained the ability to connect that I've been hankering for--probably just in time to drop out into a sleep-deprived, milky, diaper and rocking chair filled stupor. Contractions are coming every night and the doctor told me that she thought she'd probably see me later this week even though I'm at 38 weeks. Now our hopes are up, although I'm preparing myself to go weeks over just in case. She thought Owen was 6 1/2 to 7 pounds, the size that Ellie was when she was born, and didn't think I'd probably carry a baby too much bigger. But again--who knows--it could be another month (yikes!) or it could be tomorrow. Ryan's folks come down on Thursday and my mom comes down next Wednesday, which is reassuring/exciting. Ellie hugs my belly many times a day to tell Owen he can come out now. We bring Ellie in for a discussion about what to do with those big old tonsils tomorrow, confident that we have good care here and will get a couple opinions before anything drastic happens. It's lovely to know we can now keep everyone posted from home.
